We talked in class two weeks ago about the possibility of conflict with Iran. We are all concerned about life. This article describes technology that may threaten our aircraft carriers. I came across it before that class but I could not remember exact details, so I did not comment at the time.

yes, but in my opinion, no small wonder. it's typical administration stuff that we haven't taken action on this threat yet. remember new orleans, 911. and lots of other things this administration just can't seem to
put on its calendar--global warming. i voted for the other guys.
no, it wasn't offensive and shouldn't be either. as teachers we'll have politics coming our way on a regular basis. the stuff i remember besideds elections jfk assassination, neil armstrong and company, apol1o 13, vietnam, watergate, nixon resigning,jimmycarter, ronald reagan's loss to gerald ford etc etc. Politics is always part of the curriculum and always a part of psychology--i took a class in college called politial psychology.
and when the young people wanted to watch the news of the challenger at the library where i was working, i let them. i remembered apolo 13. politics should be easy to talk about anytime. We have enough blood on the flag giving us that right.
